NSW Goldfields
From a family history perspective, my interest in the NSW goldrush centres on three areas:
Notes:
Joseph Murphy moved his family to Tumbarumba in about 1889-1890. There were goldfields in the area but Jospeh appears to have been a farmer, rather than a prospector.

- Devil's Hole Creek (later Clarke's Creek) near Windeyer and Mudgee, where William Wilson and Winifred Seery lived from at least 1855 until about 1861. William possibly arrived in the area as early as 1850 or 1851;
- Adelong, where Robert Magrane Reilly and his family arrived around 1848-1854;
- Sofala, Bathurst, Carcoar, Gulgong and Molong, all goldmining towns where John Merrin was a policeman during the period 1862-1881;
